The KNIPEX ErgoStrip (16 95 01) is a universal cable stripping tool engineered for professional electricians, combining multiple stripping and cutting functions in an ergonomically optimised right-hand format. It strips the outer sheath of round cables, damp-proof cables, coax cables, and data cables, and also strips individual conductor insulation — making it a single tool that covers most cable preparation tasks encountered during building electrical installation.
The asymmetric, right-hand-optimised handle positions the thumb and fingers around a specially shaped grip that aligns cutting forces with the natural mechanics of the right hand, reducing effort and fatigue significantly. A depth-limiting guide prevents the blade from cutting into inner conductor insulation when removing outer sheaths.
The ErgoStrip handles conductors from 0.2 to 4mm² and outer cable diameters from approximately 8 to 28mm, covering the vast majority of cables used in domestic and commercial electrical installations.
