Description

The MZ203 is a shunt trip release accessory for Hager MCBs, designed to remotely trip (open) the circuit breaker when a voltage signal of 230–415V AC or 110–130V DC is applied to its coil terminals. It enables remote disconnection of circuits from building management systems, fire alarm panels, or emergency shutdown systems.
The shunt trip mechanism energises the coil to release the MCB trip mechanism, immediately opening the circuit. This is a commonly required feature in circuits that must be remotely de-energised in response to fire alarms or emergency conditions, and is required by certain standards for specific applications.
The MZ203 clips onto the side of a compatible MCB and occupies approximately 1 DIN rail module. It is compatible with Hager’s MU, HMB, HMC, and other compatible MCB ranges, and can be used in combination with the MZ201 auxiliary contact for both remote tripping and status indication.
