The MD9001 is a Click MiniGrid 6A push ON/OFF non-dimmable module, sometimes described as a ‘dummy dimmer’. It is designed to occupy a position on a MiniGrid dimmer plate where a non-dimmable load — such as a fluorescent lamp, fan, or motor — needs to be switched without dimming, while maintaining a visually consistent plate appearance alongside rotary dimmer modules.
The push ON/OFF action provides a latching on/off switch function within the same physical format as a rotary dimmer module, so the overall plate presents a uniform appearance regardless of which gangs are controlling dimmable versus non-dimmable loads. Rated at 6A, 250V AC.
The MD9001 is compatible with Click MiniGrid dimmer plates and is an important component in mixed-load lighting systems, enabling a single dimmer plate to serve circuits that require different types of control without the need for a separate plate.
