The ABB CA5-01 is a side-mount auxiliary contact block providing one normally closed (N.C.) contact for expanding the signalling capability of ABB A-Line contactors in the A145 to A300 product range. Rated at 10 A / 690 V AC and compliant with IEC 60947-5-1, this contact block is designed for use in motor control circuits requiring additional N.C. contact outputs for interlocking, fault signalling, and safety feedback applications. The CA5-01 attaches directly to the side of compatible large contactors via a snap-on mechanism, enabling tool-free installation during panel assembly.

The CA5-01’s normally closed contact configuration is particularly useful in motor control circuits where a de-energised state indication is required, such as for safety interlock signalling, contactor feedback monitoring, or alarm activation on motor shutdown.
