ABB The M2SS3-30B Selector Switch is: 3-position – Short handle – Black – Maintained – Non-illuminated – Chrome Metal – No contact block
Description
The ABB M2SS3-30B is a 3-position non-illuminated, maintained-action selector switch with a short handle in black and a chrome metal bezel, part of ABB’s M2 22 mm modular operator component system. The 3-position design provides left, centre, and right selector positions, enabling hand/off/auto, forward/off/reverse, or other three-state mode selection functions commonly required in industrial machine and process control applications. The device is supplied without a contact block, allowing the user to attach the appropriate combination of MCB or MCBH contact blocks to create the required switching outputs for each of the three positions.
Designed to IEC 60947-5-1, the M2SS3-30B uses a standard 22 mm panel mounting and features a maintained-action mechanism that holds the selected position after release. The chrome metal bezel provides a durable and professional finish suitable for demanding industrial environments. The black handle colour conforms to standard industrial conventions for neutral or multi-function mode selection, and the short handle provides a compact actuator form appropriate for high-density panel front layouts.
The M2SS3-30B is fully compatible with ABB’s MCB and MCBH contact block modules, which snap onto the rear of the operator unit to provide the required N.O. and N.C. switching outputs for each position. This modular approach allows panel builders and machine builders to specify exact contact configurations, keeping inventory flexible and installation straightforward. The 3-position selector switch is widely used in motor control panels for hand/off/auto selection, industrial machine mode selection, process plant control, and building services applications including pump and fan control systems.
