ABB The M2SSK3-101 Key Selector Switch is: 2-position – Momentary return – Non-illuminated – Black Plastic – No contact block
Description
The ABB M2SSK3-101 is a 2-position momentary-return key selector switch with a black plastic bezel and non-illuminated actuator, designed as part of ABB’s M2 22 mm modular operator component family. The key-operated momentary return mechanism means the switch returns to its home position when the key is released or removed, providing a timed or pulsed switching action suitable for momentary-enable, jog, or pulse command functions in security-sensitive control circuit applications. The black plastic bezel provides a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to chrome metal versions in less demanding environments.
Built to IEC 60947-5-1, the M2SSK3-101 accommodates standard 22 mm panel mounting and is supplied without a contact block, allowing the user to select appropriate MCB or MCBH contact blocks from ABB’s modular range for their specific circuit requirements. The momentary-return action is particularly useful for applications such as momentary machine jog, emergency unlock pulse, or access-controlled test point activation, where a maintained output is not desired and the operation must be intentional and key-controlled to prevent unauthorised or accidental activation.
As part of ABB’s M2 operator system, the M2SSK3-101 is fully compatible with ABB’s range of modular contact block accessories and is used in machine tool control, industrial process automation, security-controlled access panels, test and commissioning stations, and any application requiring key-actuated momentary-pulse switching. The combination of key operation and momentary action provides a high level of operational security, making this device appropriate where both access restriction and momentary activation are necessary requirements of the control system design.
