Description
The ABB MCB-10 is a modular contact block providing one normally open (N.O.) contact for use with ABB’s M2 series modular pushbutton and selector switch components. It attaches directly to compatible M2 operator actuators, forming the electrical switching element of the pushbutton or selector switch assembly. Rated to IEC 60947-5-1, the MCB-10 provides a reliable N.O. contact for start commands, enable signals, run indication, PLC input feedback, and other control circuit applications requiring a contact that closes when the operator actuates the device.
The MCB-10 is rated for AC-15 and DC-13 utilisation categories as defined in IEC 60947-5-1, and features screw terminal connections for secure and reliable conductor attachment. Its modular snap-on construction enables rapid assembly and disassembly, simplifying wiring during panel build and allowing contact configurations to be modified in the field without replacing the entire operator device. Multiple MCB modules can be combined on a single actuator to provide multiple switching outputs, allowing complex control circuit requirements to be satisfied within the compact footprint of the operator unit.
As one of the most widely specified contact blocks in ABB’s M2 operator system, the MCB-10 is used extensively in industrial control panel construction, machine operator interface assembly, and process plant local control applications. The N.O. contact configuration is the standard choice for start commands, motor run output contacts, interlock signalling, and PLC input connections. Panel builders and machine builders will find the MCB-10 an essential stock component for assembling complete, professional-quality operator interface assemblies using ABB’s M2 modular system.
