The ABB MS116-1 is a manual motor starter and protector for three-phase motors up to 1 A full-load current, providing thermal overload protection, electromagnetic short-circuit protection, and manual isolation in a single DIN rail-mounted device. Part of ABB’s established MS116 series, this device delivers comprehensive motor protection without the need for separate overcurrent protection and overload relay devices, simplifying the panel layout and reducing wiring complexity in motor control installations. The adjustable setting range ensures precise matching to the motor’s rated current.

Compliant with IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60947-2, the MS116-1 incorporates a bimetal thermal element for overload protection with Class 10 tripping characteristics, and an electromagnetic release for instantaneous short-circuit protection.
