The ABB S201C20 is a 1-pole Type C miniature circuit breaker rated at 20 A, forming part of ABB’s System pro M compact S200 series. It provides overload and short-circuit protection for single-phase circuits with Type C tripping characteristics, which deliver magnetic (instantaneous) disconnection for fault currents between 5 and 10 times the rated current. This characteristic is specifically suited to circuits supplying loads with higher inrush currents on energisation, such as motor loads, transformer primaries, fluorescent lighting with electromagnetic ballasts, and inductive heating equipment, where Type B MCBs might trip nuisance on switching.

The S201C20 complies with IEC 60898-1 and EN 60898-1 and is rated at 230/400 V AC with a short-circuit capacity of 6 kA at 230 V. The 17.5 mm per pole width enables space-efficient installation in compact distribution boards and consumer units.
