6944X 120mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a large-diameter, 4-core power cable manufactured to BS 5467, IEC/EN 60502-1, and IEC/EN 60228 standards, flame retardant per IEC/EN 60332-1-2. It features stranded copper conductors, XLPE insulation, PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a black PVC outer sheath with harmonised core identification (brown, black, grey, blue). Rated 0.6/1kV (600/1000V), with a fixed temperature rating of -25°C to +90°C and a minimum bending radius of 8x the overall diameter. Commonly used in large power networks, mains electricity distribution, and long-distance runs to outbuildings and warehouses. Suitable for direct burial underground as well as indoor and outdoor installations, with UV- and chemical-resistant XLPE insulation. Requires appropriate BW/CW cable glands and cleats sized for 120mm². Sold cut to length, priced per metre.
