The DCP580N-XJ is a DEWALT 18V XR brushless cordless planer for smoothing, chamfering, and reducing the width of timber in joinery, door hanging, and carpentry applications. The brushless motor delivers consistent planing performance with efficient battery use, enabling extended planing sessions on a single charge. The 82mm planing width covers standard joinery timber widths.
The two-blade drum provides a smooth, consistent surface finish on softwood and hardwood, with rebate depth capacity of up to 2mm. The front shoe adjusts for chamfering work, and the dust collection port connects to vacuum extractors for clean operation. The blade depth is adjustable in fine increments for precision material removal.
Supplied as a bare tool — battery and charger sold separately. Compatible with all DEWALT 18V XR batteries and 82mm TCT reversible planer blades (DT3906). Suitable for carpenters and joiners who require cordless planing capability for door fitting, frame adjustment, and timber surfacing work.
