The VPSB038BK is a 5A round-pin socket outlet, finished in satin brass with a black insert. Round-pin 5A sockets are used for centrally switched lamp circuits – a popular way to control table and floor lamps from a wall switch – and for other dedicated low-current applications where a standard 13A plug must be prevented from being used.
