It provides a clean, flush face over the aperture with no switch or socket function.

Using a blank plate keeps an installation looking tidy and coordinated while keeping fingers away from wiring in a disused box. Because it shares the same matt bronze screwless styling as the rest of the range, a blanked position sits seamlessly alongside the working sockets and switches around it rather than standing out.
