Description

The SPB415D is a 4-pole Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD) rated for TN-S and TT earthing systems, with a continuous operating voltage (Uc) of 275V, a nominal discharge current (In) of 5kA (8/20µs), and a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 15kA. It provides protection against transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes and switching surges in three-phase installations.
The voltage protection level (Up) is 1kV, limiting the energy reaching downstream equipment to a safe level. Installing the SPB415D at the distribution board incomer protects all connected equipment including sensitive electronics, control systems, and appliances from damaging voltage transients. The device conforms to IEC 61643-11 Type 2 requirements.
Occupying 4 DIN rail modules, the SPB415D operates from -40°C to +80°C, is RoHS and REACH-SVHC compliant, and is halogen-free. It is suitable for installation on three-phase 240-415V AC networks in commercial and industrial premises.
