6945X 6.0mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 5-core power and control cable manufactured to BS 5467 Table 13. It features a Class 2 stranded plain annealed copper conductor to BS EN 60228, thermosetting XLPE insulation (Type GP8 to BS 7655-1.3), PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a PVC outer sheath rated 0.6/1kV (600/1000V). Core colours: blue, brown, black, grey, and green/yellow. Rated current approximately 44A. Overall cable diameter is approximately 18.5–20mm, suiting an M25 gland and size 8 cleat, with a minimum bending radius of 12 x diameter. Suitable for auxiliary control, power networks, and mains supply wiring in indoor, outdoor, underground, and direct burial applications, and can be installed in duct, on tray, in basket, or embedded in concrete.
