6943X 2.5mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 3-core power and control cable manufactured to BS 5467, BASEC approved. It features a Class 2 stranded copper conductor, XLPE insulation (nominal thickness 0.7mm), PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a black PVC outer sheath. Core identification: brown, black, and grey. Voltage rating is 0.6/1kV (600/1000V), with a fixed temperature rating of -25°C to +90°C and a minimum bending radius of 6x the overall diameter. Nominal overall diameter is approximately 12.6–14.1mm, weighing around 340–390kg/km, and suits a 20S BW/CW gland with CC6 wraparound cleats. Current rating approximately 28–31A. Suitable for mains power distribution, industrial applications, and auxiliary control wiring in indoor, outdoor, and underground applications, including direct burial, cable ducting, tray, basket, or free air installation, and can be embedded in concrete.
