The KNIPEX 1000V 180MM Combination Pliers (02 06 180) are fully insulated high-leverage combination pliers tested and certified for safe working on live installations up to 1000V AC. Manufactured to DIN EN IEC 60900 standards, each pair is individually tested at 10,000V before leaving the factory, providing a verified safety margin well above the working voltage limit.
The multi-component VDE insulation sleeves are ergonomically contoured to fit the hand naturally, reducing grip fatigue while providing the required dielectric barrier. The underlying plier mechanism delivers the same 35% force-reduction advantage as the non-insulated 02 series, with induction-hardened cutting edges at 63 HRC for cutting cable, hard wire, and busbars on live circuits.
At 180mm, this model is ideally sized for panel work, switchgear maintenance, and installation tasks where live-working conditions apply.
