The DT4768-QZ is a DEWALT EXTREME IMPACT 20mm x 152mm flatwood (spade) drill bit with a 1/4-inch hex quick-change shank, designed for rapid drilling of holes in hardwood, softwood, lumber, and wood with embedded nails. The EXTREME IMPACT construction features an extra-thick, robust steel shank engineered to withstand the torsional forces generated by cordless impact drivers without flexing or breaking.
The bevelled pilot point tip enables precise positioning and initiates a clean hole without walking, even in nail-embedded timber. The hang hole in the blade allows wire-pulling through the drilled hole — a standard requirement in electrical installation. 1/4-inch hex shank prevents slipping and fits all 1/4-inch quick-change systems. The 20mm size provides the clearance required for larger conduit, cable bundles, and small-bore plumbing pipe through timber structural members.
