The DT4968-QZ is a DEWALT industrial-grade 13-piece HSS-Co (cobalt) metal drill bit set, designed for drilling high-alloy content steels, stainless steel, and hard metals up to 1100 N/mm² tensile strength — significantly harder than standard HSS-G bits can handle. The 5% cobalt alloy content of the HSS-E steel provides up to 4x longer life in hard metals compared to standard HSS bits.
The no-walk tip (on sizes 5mm and above) allows easier penetration of all surfaces without centre-punching. A 135° split-point angle delivers clean, accurate holes with minimal burring in stainless steel and hard alloys. The set covers a comprehensive range of common metric sizes from 1mm to 13mm for professional metalworking applications.
