Description
The ABB F202-40/0.03 is a 2-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) rated at 40 A with a 30 mA residual current sensitivity, designed to provide personal protection against electric shock in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. As part of ABB’s F200 series, this device disconnects the circuit automatically when a leakage current of 30 mA or greater is detected between the live and neutral conductors, protecting against the risk of potentially fatal electric shock caused by ground faults. The 2-pole design is intended for single-phase supply protection applications.
The F202-40/0.03 complies with IEC 61008-1 and EN 61008-1 standards for residual current operated circuit-breakers and is designed for installation in standard DIN rail consumer units and distribution boards. Its 30 mA sensitivity is the internationally recognised threshold for personal protection, making this device appropriate for use in bathroom circuits, kitchen socket ring mains, outdoor supply circuits, and general domestic socket outlets where the risk of ground leakage to a person is present. The 40 A current rating enables it to serve as the primary RCCB for a domestic installation or individual circuit group.
The F202 series is designed for compatibility with ABB’s System pro M compact modular wiring accessories, allowing it to be combined with MCBs and other protective devices in co-ordinated distribution board assemblies. Its compact 2-module DIN rail width enables efficient use of consumer unit space. This device is a reliable and compliant component for electrical installers working on residential, commercial, and light industrial distribution boards, where protection against earth leakage is required in addition to overcurrent and short-circuit protection provided by circuit breakers.
