Description
The ABB MCB-01 is a modular contact block providing one normally closed (N.C.) contact, designed for use with ABB’s M2 series modular pushbutton and selector switch operator components. This contact block snaps directly onto the rear of compatible ABB M2 operator actuators, forming the electrical switching element of the assembled pushbutton or selector switch unit. It is rated to IEC 60947-5-1 and provides a reliable N.C. switching contact for control circuit applications including stop commands, safety interlocks, fault detection, and interlock signalling.
The MCB-01 uses screw terminal connections for secure conductor attachment and is rated for control circuit voltages and currents in accordance with IEC 60947-5-1 utilisation category AC-15 and DC-13. Its compact modular design allows it to be combined with other MCB and MCBH contact block modules to build up the exact contact configuration required by the control circuit, from a single contact to multiple contacts depending on the number of blocks attached to the operator unit. The standard front-mount installation ensures reliable mechanical engagement with the actuator throughout the service life of the device.
The MCB-01 is a fundamental component within ABB’s M2 modular operator system and is widely used by panel builders, machine builders, and electrical contractors assembling operator panels for industrial machinery, motor control panels, process control systems, and building services control. The N.C. contact configuration makes it the standard choice for stop commands, safety chain inputs, overload alarm inputs, and door interlock functions. It is compatible with the full range of ABB M2 operator actuators, providing maximum flexibility in creating complete, functional pushbutton and selector switch assemblies.
