ABB OT80F6 – 6 Pole Through Door Rotary Switch Disconnector, 80A
ABB OT80F6 – 6 Pole Through Door Rotary Switch Disconnector, 80A
Description
The ABB OT80F6 is a 6-pole, 80 A through-door rotary switch disconnector, providing manual isolation of three-phase circuits with neutral and/or additional switched poles in distribution boards and industrial switchboards. The 6-pole format makes it suitable for three-phase plus neutral (3P+N) or other multi-pole switching configurations where complete circuit isolation, including the neutral conductor, is required by the installation design or by applicable wiring regulations. The through-door operating mechanism allows safe operation without opening the panel.
The OT80F6 meets IEC 60947-3 requirements for switch disconnectors and is designed for 80 A rated current service in low-voltage distribution systems. The padlockable operating handle supports lockout/tagout procedures for safe maintenance isolation. Its 6-pole design enables simultaneous disconnection of all poles including the neutral, which may be required in TN-S distribution systems where the neutral must also be isolated, in IT systems, or in certain industrial applications where complete circuit isolation is a regulatory or operational requirement.
This device is part of ABB’s OT series and is compatible with the OXP busbar connection system for direct busbar connection in distribution boards. It is used in larger industrial and commercial distribution boards, main panel isolators, machine supply disconnectors, and special applications requiring 6-pole switching and isolation in 80 A circuits. Electrical design engineers, panel builders, and electrical contractors will find the OT80F6 a capable and standards-compliant solution for multi-pole manual isolation requirements in three-phase electrical distribution and motor control systems.
