The ABB S201B16 is a 1-pole Type B miniature circuit breaker rated at 16 A, part of ABB’s System pro M compact S200 range. It is designed to provide both overload and short-circuit protection for single-phase circuits in residential, commercial, and light industrial distribution boards. The Type B tripping characteristic provides magnetic (instantaneous) trip for fault currents between 3 and 5 times the rated current, making it appropriate for circuits with resistive or slightly inductive loads such as lighting circuits, heating elements, and general socket outlets where the connected load does not produce high inrush currents on switching.

Compliant with IEC 60898-1 and EN 60898-1, the S201B16 has a rated voltage of 230/400 V AC and a short-circuit capacity of 6 kA at 230 V, which satisfies the requirements of the vast majority of residential and light commercial distribution circuits.
