ABB System pro M compact S200 miniature circuit breakers are current limiting. They have two different tripping mechanisms, the delayed thermal tripping mechanism for overload protection and the electromechanic tripping mechanism for short circuit protection. They are available in different characteristics (B,C,D,K,Z), configurations (1P,1P+N,2P,3P,3P+N,4P), breaking capacities (up to 6 kA at 230/400 V AC) and rated currents (up to 63A). All MCBs of the product range S200 comply with IEC/EN 60898-1, IEC/EN 60947-2, UL1077 allowing the use for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Bottom-fitting auxiliary contact can be mounted on S200 to save 50% space.

Description
The ABB S203C25 is a 3-pole Type C miniature circuit breaker rated at 25 A, part of ABB’s System pro M compact S200 series. Designed to provide overload and short-circuit protection for three-phase circuits with Type C instantaneous tripping characteristics (5–10× rated current), this device is suitable for three-phase motor feeders, three-phase distribution circuits, and other three-phase loads that produce moderate inrush currents on starting. Simultaneous disconnection of all three poles ensures the motor or load is completely de-energised on fault or overload, preventing single-phasing conditions.
The S203C25 complies with IEC 60898-1 and EN 60898-1, rated at 400 V AC three-phase with a 6 kA short-circuit capacity. The 3-pole format with simultaneous tripping ensures co-ordinated protection of all three phases of the supply, satisfying the requirements of IEC 60364 for motor and circuit protection in three-phase systems. The compact 17.5 mm per pole width keeps the overall 3-pole device width to 52.5 mm, enabling efficient use of panel space in three-phase distribution boards and motor control panels.
Compatible with ABB’s comprehensive S200 accessory range, including auxiliary contact blocks for motor run feedback, alarm contacts for remote fault signalling, and shunt or voltage releases for remote tripping, the S203C25 supports the design of comprehensive three-phase circuit protection assemblies. It is widely used in three-phase motor control panels, industrial distribution boards, commercial electrical distribution, agricultural supply panels, and machine control circuits throughout Ireland and Europe where reliable, compact, and standards-compliant three-phase circuit protection is required.
