A 5A round-pin socket outlet in Satin Brass. Round-pin sockets are traditionally used on switched lighting circuits — for example floor and table lamps that come on with the main lights from a wall switch. Because they are not compatible with ordinary BS 1363 plugs, high-power appliances cannot be connected by mistake.
From the premium Deco Plus range, a metal plate with curved edge; a black (BK) insert is supplied on this code. The lamp-circuit application makes it popular in hospitality and feature lighting schemes.
It mounts into a standard 1-gang box. The 5A rating suits the typical loads of decorative and accent lighting.
