Description

The CD283U is a 2-pole Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) rated at 80A with 30mA Type A sensitivity. It provides earth leakage protection for single-phase plus neutral circuits in residential and commercial distribution boards, automatically disconnecting in the event of an earth fault.
With an 80A current rating, the CD283U is suitable for use as a main incomer RCD in larger consumer units or as a sub-main device in distribution boards. The 30mA Type A sensitivity ensures protection against AC and pulsating DC residual currents from modern electronic loads.
The device is DIN rail mountable and rated for 230V AC operation. It is IP20 rated, RoHS compliant, and is available individually. Note: Hager advises testing this type with 250mA rather than the standard 5 × In due to its high-immunity characteristics.
