Description

The CPA580E is a 2-pole (1P+N) selective RCCB rated at 80A with 300mA Type A residual current sensitivity and a built-in time delay for discrimination against downstream instantaneous devices. The selective (S-type) characteristic ensures that only the affected downstream circuit trips when a fault occurs, rather than the entire installation.
As a selective incomer RCCB, the CPA580E is used in TT system single-phase installations where time-graded coordination between the main device and individual circuit RCDs is required. This prevents total loss of supply when a downstream 30mA device operates correctly.
The device operates at 230V AC and is DIN rail mountable. It is IP20 rated, RoHS compliant, and packaged as 1 piece per unit. The selective S-type designation complies with IEC 61008 selective type requirements.
