6945X 4.0mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 5-core power and auxiliary control cable manufactured to BS5467 and IEC 60502, BASEC approved and CE marked. It features Class 2 stranded plain copper conductors to BS EN 60228:2005, XLPE insulation, PVC bedding (armour thickness ~0.9mm), galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a black PVC outer sheath with numbered or coloured cores (blue, brown, black, grey). Rated 600/1000V, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to +90°C. Overall cable diameter is approximately 16.3mm, weighing around 565kg/km, with a minimum bending radius of 12x diameter; suits a 20mm gland (BW20L indoor / CW20L outdoor) and C6/C7 cable cleat. Suitable for underground, outdoor, and indoor installations, direct burial, surface clipping, cable trays, baskets, or free air runs, and can be embedded in concrete.
