6945X 70mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 5-core power cable manufactured to BS 5467, IEC/EN 60502-1, and IEC/EN 60228 standards. It features stranded annealed copper conductors, XLPE insulation, PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a black PVC outer sheath with numbered or coloured cores. Rated 600/1000V, current rating approximately 238A, with UV-resistant, chemical- and fluid-resistant XLPE insulation. Suitable for three-phase electrical applications, large industrial installations, mains electricity distribution, and incoming mains supply. Can be used for underground direct burial as well as attaching to structures or buildings using CC16 cable cleats, and requires a 50mm gland (BW50 indoor / CW50 outdoor). Also suitable for power networks, cable ducting, and general internal/external mains wiring. Sold cut to length, priced per metre.
