The CD285U is a 2-pole RCCB rated at 100A with 30mA Type A residual current sensitivity. It is designed for use as a main incomer RCD in large residential or commercial consumer units where high continuous load currents are expected alongside earth leakage protection.
The 100A rating suits installations with high total connected load, such as large houses, offices, or small commercial premises. Type A sensitivity provides detection of AC and pulsating DC leakage currents, accommodating the range of modern electronic and variable-frequency drive loads.
The CD285U operates at 230V AC and is DIN rail mountable. It is IP20 rated and RoHS compliant. Hager recommends testing at 250mA due to the device’s high-immunity design.
