6945X 1.5mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 5-core power and control cable built to BS 5467 and BASEC approved. It features a Class 2 stranded plain copper conductor to BS EN 60228, XLPE (thermosetting) insulation, extruded PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a tough black PVC outer sheath. Rated 600/1000V, with an operating range of roughly -15°C to +90°C. Suitable for indoor, outdoor, underground, and direct burial applications, as well as installation on cable trays, in ducting, or embedded in concrete. Commonly used for mains power distribution, auxiliary control circuits, and industrial/commercial wiring where mechanical protection is required. Available cut to length, sold per metre.
