6944X 16mm² SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a 4-core power and control cable manufactured to BS 5467 and IEC 60502, BASEC approved. It features a Class 2 stranded plain copper conductor to BS EN 60228:2005, XLPE insulation, PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour for mechanical protection, and a black PVC outer sheath. Core identification: blue, brown, black, and grey. Voltage rating is 600/1000V. Overall cable diameter is approximately 21.8–26.3mm, weighing around 1240kg/km, with a minimum bending radius of 12x diameter; suits a 25mm gland (BW25 indoor / CW25 outdoor) with a CC9/CC10 cable cleat.
